A second look at this Grey county farm produced this painting of bold, layered colours divided by a highly placed horizon. The palette knife strokes makes the viewer feel like they are in the freshly cut field, smelling the grain and feeling the many textures as their hand grazes the tips. The viewers eye is taken up to a strong but muted horizon that defines the clean blue sky from the fast moving autumn clouds.
