MOTHER & CHILD NO.2

I was captivated by this pose, the ever-so-slight angles that reveal the curves of a woman, and the tender shape of a baby’s head that cradles into their mommy. A feeling of warmth, love, and belonging. The lines and shapes are more gestural and loose, to evoke tenderness and a blending together. This oak panel is covered with amber shellac that enhances the wood grain and really compliments the woman’s body form.
